Cusco Cultural y Camino Inca 7D / 6N
Day 1: ARRIVE IN CUSCO AND CITY TOURS
Transportation from the Cusco airport to your selected hotel Cusco City Tour Duration: 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm The tour includes the most significant sites in and around Cusco City, such as: the Qoricancha, which displays the best Inca stonework in the city, and the Cathedral in Cusco’s Main Square with its magnificent colonial art. The tour drives along the Circunvalacion Road up to the famous fortress of Saqsahuaman, the amphitheatre of Qenqo, the fortress of Pukapukara and the spring shrine of Tambomachay.
Day 2: SACRED VALLEY TOURS
Sacred Valley of the Incas tour Duration: 8:30 am – 6:30 pm The tour includes a guided visit to the native market of Pisaq, where you can purchase beautiful textiles, jewelry and ceramics at bargain prices. Our next stops will be Calca and Urubamba, where we will have lunch. We will continue to Ollantaytambo, where the group will visit the archeological site, and then visit Chinchero’s market.
Day 3: INCA TRAIL FIRTS DAY
Inca Trail Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba) We will depart from Cusco and travel to Urubamba, where we will have a brief stop, and then continue on to Chillca to start the trek. We will have lunch in Miskay with an additional rest of about a half hour, after which we will start our trek to the first campsite. Along the way we will visit the archeological site of Llactapata.
Day 4: INCA TRAIL SECOND DAY
Inca Trail : Wayllabamba – Warmiwañuska – Pacaymayu) We will have breakfast early and start trekking to the highest point of the Inca Trail, where we can see different ecological zones and enjoy changing climates. We will cross the Warmiwañusca pass at 4200 meters above sea level. After lunch we will continue on to the campsite at Pacaymayo and enjoy dinner and a well deserved rest.
Day 5: INCA TRAIL DAY THIRD DAY
Inca Trail: Pacaymayo – Chaqicocha – Wiñaywayna) We will walk approximately 45 minutes to reach the second pass at 3850 meters above sea level and visit Runcuracay along the way. We will also visit the Sayacmarca archeological group and continue on to the Phuyupatamarca ruins. After lunch we will head to Wiñaywayna, where we will spend our last night.
Day 6: INCA TRAIL DAY FOURTH DAY
Inca Trail: Wiñaywayna – Machu Picchu) After an early breakfast, we will start on the final leg of the trek to Machu Picchu. We will arrive at Inti Punku, where we will have a panoramic view of the Machu Picchu citadel. After a short hike down to Machu Picchu, we will register and start our 3 hour guided visit. After enjoying the ruins, we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where you will have a buffet lunch in a typical restaurant and then have free time to enjoy the town before we return to Cusco.
Day 7: TRANSPORTATION OUT
After breakfast, you will be transported to the airport to catch a plane to Lima.
