Reservations
The present conditions of purchase apply to the services proposed on this site. Our Agency as well as the trekker commit to respect them if he/she chooses our services. It is entirely up to the trekker to read, understand and accept these conditions and every on-line reservation implies the acceptance of the present conditions. Our Agency shall not be considered responsible if the trekker ignores or misinterpret our conditions.
To reserve and confirm any program for groups or individual clients the following information is required and must be sent to us via our reservation form, and include the following information: Full name as it appears in the holder’s passport; passport number valid on the date of the trip being requested; address and telephone number; current e-mail address; nationality; date of birth; gender; occupation; dates and times of flights or arrival in Peru and Cusco; any medical or dietary restrictions; any special interests regarding the service requested
In order to deal with your reservation in a timely manner we require a deposit of 50% of the cost of the chosen program at the time of booking. The balance should be paid 30 days before departure. All payments should be made to our bank account, or via the method of payment agreed upon at time of booking (Visa, Paypal, etc.)
Important:
Bookings should be made as far in advance as possible; for example, the Inca Trail is in high demand throughout the year and we recommend that you make your reservation as soon as you have received our confirmation of availability.
Groups
Prices for groups over 10 passengers are subject to discounts.

Singles
Hotel Reservations: (Not included in Tourist Packages)
All requirement of hotel accommodation which are confirmed, are guaranteed.
The confirmation of the reserve, must be sent by e-mail with the hotel reservation code.
Breakfast and transfer from the airport are included only if it is specified and published by the hotel, Otherwise the price includes only the accommodation.
Passengers only have to show their passports or document at the hotel and give the confirmation code. This is enough to take the room.
Penalties:
For every cancellation made by the passenger, more than 16 days prior the arrival, must be subject to a penalty of US $ 25.00 for administrative expenses.
For every cancellation made by the passenger, within the 15 days prior the arrival, must be subject to a penalty of the first night amount plus the US $ 25.00
In the case that passenger don\'t arrive at the hotel (no show) at the reserved date, and haven\'t send a cancellation in advance, must loose the payment of all the nights reserved.
Air, Bus or Train Tickets Reservations (Not included in Tourist Packages)
Every confirmed reserve is guaranteed.
The flight tickets are e-tickets and passenger don\'t require any paper or physical document. It is necessary only to show the passport of identification document at the counter and give the confirmation code, then you can pick up your boarding pass or ticket.
The confirmation of the requested reserve, must be sent by an e-mail, with the confirmation code of each transportation company in the next 48 hours.
Fares of airlines are subject to confirmation on the day of reservation, and can be modified getting higher or cheaper, it depends on the availability of the fare.
Once ticket is issued, it may not be reassigned to a different passenger or airline.
Penalties:
FLIGHT TICKETS:
The payment is not refundable. Not admitted any change of itineraries and / or passenger name.
BUS TICKETS: For every cancellation made by passenger, more than 24 hours prior the beginning of the journey, has only the possibility to change the date of travel, not the route. The payment is not refundable. If the cancellation is within the 24 hours prior the beginning of journey, there is no possibility to change the travel date, and ticket is not refundable.
TRAIN TICKETS: For every cancellation made by passengers, more than 7 days before the date of travel, has only the possibility of change the date of travel, not the route. The payment is not refundable. If cancellation is within the 7 days prior the travel, there is no possibility to change the date and ticket is not refundable.

Prices
All prices are expressed in US Dollars and they are subject to change without notice. They can also be expressed in other currencies for information only. In this case, the amount indicated is only an estimation based on an average and rounded up exchange rate. The only valid prices are those indicated in US Dollars through the whole Site and those expressed in other currencies on the payment form where the exchange rate used will be considered definitive.
After payment, prices are not subject to any change, even if exchange rates or prices change between the date of purchase and the beginning of the Trek.
Cancelations
Cancellations: In our experience a certain percentage of bookings are cancelled by the client before departure due to some unforeseen circumstance. The penalties incurred for cancellation of services will depend on the date of cancellation according to the following list (Important: At any time after confirming the purchase of your Inca Trail permit, in the event of cancellation we will charge the full cost said permit):
45 days or more before the date of the start of services: only the bank charges will not be refunded (except in the case of the Inca Trail permit).
44 to 30 days before the date of the start of services: 40% of the deposit will not be refunded.
29 to 16 days before the date of the start of services: 50% of the deposit will not be refunded.
15 to 07 days before the date of the start of services: 80% of the deposit will not be refunded.
06 to 0 days before the date of the start of services: 100% of the deposit will not be refunded
A special note regarding cancellations of Inca Trail reservations:
The advance payments for the different treks which include the Inca Trail, such as: Inca Trail 4 days/3 nights; Inca Trail 2 days/1 night; The costs of these treks are non-returnable, and include entrance tickets to the Inca Trail, porters, cooks and train tickets. This is because these services are reserved and paid for at the time of booking and therefore the deposit required is non-returnable.
Failure to Arrive (No show): We will retain the full amount paid and will not be responsible for the failure of the client to arrive due to cancelled or delayed flights. Andean Adventures / Andean Travel Peru is not responsible for damage to or loss of luggage, accidents, unforeseen expenses, unavoidable delays, services provided by third parties or direct or indirect causes beyond our control. In the unfortunate event of a no show due to unforeseen circumstances, the company will provide a certificate to the client for insurance purposes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event of a passenger leaving the tour for any reason, any extra expenses are the passenger\\\\\\\'s responsibility and the company shall not be liable for any refund, either total or partial, of money paid for any unused services.
Changes And Funds
Insurance
Insurance: Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover loss of deposit or final monies paid because of unavoidable cancellation due to illness or other causes, personal baggage loss, medical expenses, etc.
All travellers should be adequately insured against personal accident and medical costs. We recommend a short term insurance policy that covers the trip selected with cover in the event of illness, accident, emergency evacuation, costs incurred due to flight delays, schedule changes, delays caused by bad weather, missed connections, strikes, natural disasters, or unforeseeable events. We require that all passengers involved in adventure activities such as trekking and excursions to Peru’s jungle region be fully insured.
Medical
Action in case of emergency: In the event of an accident or illness during a trekking activity, Samari Travel, through its guides or support personnel, will provide all the help possible and if specialist evacuation is required (helicopters, doctors, nurses and other medical assistance beyond first aid treatment) Samari Travel will not be financially responsible for such services.
Trip Changes
The itineraries are planned with great care, although, for operational or practical reasons, it may be necessary to change the sequence of activities or the specified route. Even if such cases are rare, in general the itinerary should be treated only as a basic guideline.
Liability
Samari Travel is responsible for providing all the services and accommodations exactly as advertised on the web site.
In case of strikes or political manifestations, natural disasters, severe weather or any other acts of nature, Samari Travel is not responsible for the services not provided.
If for any reason the transportation chosen by the passenger (bus, flight, train, etc) don\'t arrive to destiny at the date and hour programmed for take tour or program reserved , Samari Travel deny all responsibility for not bringing the tour or package services; these services will not be reprogrammed. Samari Travel will bring the services only from the portion considered after the arrival of passengers. The portion of the program lost for this reason is not refundable.
Samari Travel is not responsible for loss, damage or injury related to services or accommodations provided by the railroads, bus companies, tour companies, tour employees, boat companies, airlines and or hotels. All of the above are subject to local laws of the country where the services are provided.
Samari Travel reserves the right to alter the program of any package / tour.
Samari Travel will issue all e-tickets and e-vouchers for all services at the starting location of the package / tour, or will send them to the address indicated by the client.

Clay licks, or collpas in Quechua, are simply high concentration deposits of minerals that are hard to come by in the rain forest. For parrots and macaws they come in the form of river bank clay deposits, but mammals sometimes gather around exposed soil in the ground, monkeys lick tree trunks with sediments and butterflies flutter about beaches where nutrient- rich liquids have evaporated. Clay licks are thus a widespread and not so uncommon phenomenon in the rain forest
