METHOD OF PAYMENT

In this trekking, we will pass from the Inca City of Chokequirao to Machupicchu, we need good trekking conditions and some experience.

We do have this great 5 days hike Option, ending at Machu Picchu, having on the last day a full day time between 7a.m. till 2 p.m. to enjoy well the great Inka City, that’s means you will get Machu Picchu before the crowded trains arrive, good for empty Pictures and enough time for those looking to climb the holy mountain of Huayna Picchu (1:40 min.round trip aprox.), or a quiet hike to the temple of the Moon which is located behind Huayna Picchu

In this trek you will enjoy a wonderful panoramic views of mountains and small lakes, as well as you are going to have the opportunity to know small villages along the route.

This is a new Combination, between a Down Hill Mountain Bike Tour and a Jungle Trekking to Machupicchu.

We pass ice walls, a glacier, the cascades of a frozen river, and numerous springs of hot and medicinal underground water. The mountaineer will also find lovely views over the surrounding countryside, looking down into fertile valleys and across to the Vilcanota mountains. These snow covered ranges arc away to the east, the southeast, then the south, protecting the valley of Canchis.

First day: - Welcome at the airport in Cusco and transfer to the Hotel (in the morning). - Tour around Cusco and outskirts (in the afternoon 2pm - 6pm). - Night in the Hotel Second day: - Breakfast in the hotel - Tour to Machupicchu (all day from 6am - 8pm) - Night in the Hotel ( Cusco) Third day: - Breakfast in the Hotel - Transfer from the Hotel to the Airport in Cusco.

The Vilcanota River, also known as Wilcamayu or Huilcamayo and also Urubamba is the fast flowing river in Sacred Valley that cuts through the landscape from southeast flowing northwest. The river's name contains the word vilca or wilca, in hispanicized variant its its huilca, meaning sacred. The river's name in translation to English would be Sacred River. In fact, because of this river was the valley of many Inca cities called the Sacred Valley

There are three conservation areas in Madre de Dios of great importance: the Manu Biosphere Reserve, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, the Tambopata - Candamo Reserve, with intact populations of several endangered species, such as the giant river otter and the Harpy eagle, and the Bahuaja-Sonene National Park, home to some 450 different species of birds.

Clay licks, or collpas in Quechua, are simply high concentration deposits of minerals that are hard to come by in the rain forest. For parrots and macaws they come in the form of river bank clay deposits, but mammals sometimes gather around exposed soil in the ground, monkeys lick tree trunks with sediments and butterflies flutter about beaches where nutrient- rich liquids have evaporated. Clay licks are thus a widespread and not so uncommon phenomenon in the rain forest

Choquequiraw is situated in the spur of the mountain range of Salkantay, over 3030m surrounded by the Apus of Yamana, Ampay, Chokecarpu, Pumasiyo and Panta, on the left bank of Apurimac river. In the time of the Incas, it was united and in communication with Machu Picchu by a complex network of trails.

Clay licks like these are scattered throughout Amazonia. Although locals have always known about the clay licks and the ability to see parrots well at these sites, clay licks did not gain the attention of scientists until 1984.

This hike takes more time to do the traditional Inca Trail to Machupicchu (Machu Picchu), leaving more time to appreciate the nature and archaeology along the way. We spend one long fourth day visiting Winaywayna and Machu Picchu, and on the fifth day we return to Machu Picchu to see the sunrise from the Sun Gate. We encounter valleys that contain wildlife endemic to high deserts or the tropics, between stretches of puna and cloud forest. We encounter mysterious archaeological sites half covered by jungle overgrowth, which look like you are discovering them for the first time. Machu Picchu is one of the worlds greatest cultural treasures, and of these is the most enigmatic

Suasi Island is approximately 43 hectares and it is located on the so called Major of the Titicaca Lakes at 2 and a half hours from Puno, 70 kilometres going by the Lake and 167 kilometres going along the highway, at a height of 3810 metres above sea level. It is a private island where ecological activities, such as treks on which you will be able to watch the four South American Cameloids, birds, Andean cultivations and livestock breeding, are organised. You can also take part on cultural manifestations, not to mention the experience of tasting the exquisite Novo Andean cuisine, prepared with local organic produce. It is a place where it is possible to admire the immensity of the lake and where to enjoy the night under a beautiful sky in harmony between man and nature.
